RED CAR BREWERY NIGHT - WEDNESDAY, MAY 12, 2004 We will be meeting at the Red Car Brewery, also in downtown Torrance, at 6:30pm. The Red Car Brewery is at 1266 Sartori Avenue, Torrance, CA 90501, ph:(310) 782-0222. We’ll eat & drink and then hit the road for a nice, evening ride. We’ll make a big loop, going down to PCH, going along the beach / avenues in Torrance / Redondo Beach, then loop back into Torrance via Torrance Blvd.
ANNUAL SO CAL SLOW RIDE - MAY 15, 2004 In keeping with recent tradition, the South Bay Scooter Club will be sponsoring the first of our annual SLOW RIDES, this coming May 15th. For those of you who don’t know what a SLOW RIDE is, it is for slower scooters, perhaps 125cc and smaller, who usually can’t keep up on large group rides that lately have been populated by 200cc+ built-up monster scooters. This group ride won’t leave you behind! Average speed will be approximately 30 – 35 mph. So, if you’ve been itching to take out that slow bike for a great ride with other scooters, but haven’t been able to, THIS is your ride!!! The ride will meet at Claim Jumper restaurant (located at Lomita and Crenshaw Blvd.s - Click here for map) in Torrance at 12noon; ride will leave at 1pm. We will take the scenic Palos Verdes (Swerve ‘N’ Curve) route, keeping on PV Drive South and go on up to the Korean Bell in San Pedro. Then, we will come back to Torrance via Gaffey and Anahiem St. through San Pedro. Look for another SLOW RIDE towards the end of summer, too, but come on out for this one, first...!
