On Saturday, September 4th, the fun Swerve N Curve route we took on our scooters ended up at the Swerve N Curve Barbecue location: Dan & Babette's house in Lomita, CA. There was tons of stuff going on there. There were two kegs of Newcastle and Coors Light. "Too Old" Doug was manning the barbeque, keeping all the folks fed, while having a nice spread of side dishes. Everyone was also able to check out the "South Bay Scooter Garage" where there were plenty of scoot projects being worked on. And a bunch of scooter riders, who had been on the ride, parked their bikes, then got onto Dan's deck and began to jam some cool 80's mod/ska tunes on their instruments. The band was called "DOH!" and they rocked the house! Good times.
