On Sunday, September 5th, we all gathered together for a Scooter Show and Swap Meet. People brought out their best scooters, vying for the titles of Best of Show, Best Vespa, Best Lambretta, Best Vintage, Best Rat Bike and Furthest Traveled. For the Swap Meet, we had vendors show up such as Vespa of California, Labretta Dealer.com, SpeedoKing, Noho Scooters, Deanspeed, etc. People were a little shell-shocked, though, since it was over triple digits in the temperature department (a real rarity for Torrance). Most everyone tried to beat the heat by staying in a small area of shade provided by the PV Bowl building, or lounging inside at the Snack bar or bowling in the air-conditioned bowling alley.
